Although there are still 87 days left until the big draw, the 2020 Prince George Hospice Dream Home Lottery is getting close to selling out.
As of today (Sept. 28), there are only 380 tickets left out of the 10,999 available.
“Those numbers have the potential to go down really, really fast so if you’ve been waiting to get your Dream Home ticket you may not want to wait much longer,” says Sandra Klimm, the Prince George Hospice Society’s Dream Home Coordinator, in a video update.
The Dream Home, located at 3955 Larisa Ct. in the Nechako View Subdivision, is valued at more than $700,000.
The rancher-style home features five bedrooms plus an office, four bathrooms, five brand-new appliances and about 3,390 sq. ft. of spacious modern living.
Local resident Lauraine Biech also won $150,000 Friday evening (Sept. 25) in the first 50/50 raffle draw 10 days after all 12,000 tickets sold out.
However, if you want another chance at winning that kind of money, there’s going to be a second 50/50 draw.
“We are going to start at zero and hopefully go all the way up to $150,000 again,” says Klimm, adding that tickets for the second draw are now available online.
The next lucky $150,000 winner will be unveiled on Dec. 18, six days before the new owners of the 2020 Dream Home are announced on Christmas Eve (Dec. 24).
Fifty additional 50/50 tickets will be won on Oct. 23 in the third of four early-bird draws, while an inflatable boat package, worth $3,550 in value, will be given away on Nov. 20.
Tickets for the 50/50 draw cost $25 each and the ticket for the Dream Home itself is $100, but remember, all of the profits go towards benefiting the Prince George Hospice Society.
