Canada is 153 years old!
On behalf of PrinceGeorgeMatters, we’d like to wish you a Happy Canada Day too!
This particular holiday, however, has looked very different compared to others as this was the first time in 45 years a celebration wasn’t held in Prince George.
Normally, Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park would be booming with residents wearing red and white, singing songs, showcasing world cultures and stuffing their faces with treats from food vendors.
COVID-19 public health guidelines (and the wet weather) put the city inside to celebrate July 1 virtually with family and friends.
Notable Prince George community members expressed their love for our country in various ways, and some included hopeful outlooks on its future.
