More than 1,200 B.C. Hydro customers in Prince George were still without power Monday evening, with no promise light would return before Tuesday morning.

The utility was estimating power would pick up by 6 a.m. Tuesday morning after a windstorm swept through the city. East of Beaver Forest Road represents the bulk of customers with out power, with more than 800 affected.

According to the utility, many of the outages were caused by the windstorm, or a tree across wires. It has varying estimates of when restoration will occur. To view them, visit the website here:

The first power outages were reported in the late afternoon Monday, and at around 6:30 p.m. more than 2,000 customers were without power.
