Nearly 3,000 customers are without power in the College Heights area and towards Beaverly, according to B.C. Hydro, which aims to have power restored by 6 p.m.
The area affected is described as south of 22nd Avenue, north of Beechwood Road and West of Willow Cale Road. The area also covers the 2800 and 2900 blocks of St. Anne Avenue.
In all, 2,823 customers are affected.
Cause of the outage is under investigation.
