When it comes to pot and how to sell it, readers of the Prince George Citizen are all over the board. The Citizen's online poll said "The provincial government plans to oversee the legal sale of marijuana much the same way as alcohol - sold to anyone 19 years or older in private and public retail outlets."
Then asked "is that best?"
Pollsters answered with "no, retail pot sales should only be handled through specialized stores," which came in with 28 per cent of the votes for a total of 148, while on the other side "yes, retail pot sales makes sense through existing private and public liquor outlets," came in with 27 per cent for a total of 145 votes. That was closely followed by "no, studies clearly show marijuana can cause substantial harm to individuals under 21," came in with 24 per cent and 130 votes while "yes, 19 is the age of majority came in with 21 per cent and 115 votes."
There was a total of 538 votes. Remember, this is not a scientific poll.
Next, The Citizen would like readers to weigh in on this question, "are you in favour with the B.C. NDP government's decision to complete the Site C dam?"
