The last Citizen poll question asked "the City of P.G. will hold an Oct. 28 referendum to get approval to borrow $35 million to build a pool to replace Four Seasons Pool and $15 million to build a fire hall to replace the one downtown. How will you vote?"
"Yes, both of those facilities are old and need to be replaced" took a strong lead with 38 per cent and 589 votes, while "no, the city needs to look at other possibilities, such as partnering with the Northern B.C. YMCA" came in at 26 per cent and 398 votes, followed by "no, those costs are too high and there are other priorities" took 20 per cent and 307 votes.
In low gear was "yes, the cost of these facilities needs to be shared by present and future residents" with 17 per cent and 263 votes.
There was a total of 1,557 votes. Remember this is not a scientific poll.
Next question is "do you believe Greyhound should be allowed to pull out of providing service to rural communities in the central and northern interior?"
