A day after a vigil was held for her, investigators from the provincial government's civilian-based police watchdog were on the scene Wednesday continuing their investigation related to the death of Mariluisa Mycock.
Members of the Independent Investigations Office appeared busy measuring and performing tests at the location where she had been found at the end of an alleyway near the corner of Alward Street and 12th Avenue.
They were also seen talking to her brother, Carlos Goyas, who lives nearby.
Mycock, a 42-year-old mother of two, was found at the location on the night of March 5 suffering from injuries that her family have said they've been told were consistent with being hit by a vehicle, she was transported to University Hospital of Northern B.C. where she later died.

IIO is investigating whether "police action or inaction" contributed to her death. Officer had been called to Goyas' home at about 10 p.m. in response to a complaint of a disturbance but Mycock was not found until about 20 minutes later.
The Prince George RCMP's serious crimes unit was brought in to investigate and, five days after the incident, the IIO, which investigates police involved deaths and serious injuries for the possibility of criminal wrongdoing, deployed investigators to the scene.
"Throughout our investigations, the IIO may return to any scene if necessary," IIO spokesman Marten Yousseff said Wednesday in an e-mail. "As you can understand, we will not be able to provide further details on this."
