Police are investigating following a suspicious sudden death late Saturday night.
Prince George RCMP were called to an 1100-block Alward Street home where a woman was found in medical distress. She was transported to University Hospital of Northern B.C. where she died.
The detachment's serious crime section has since been called in.
"The investigation is in the beginning stages," RCMP said Sunday morning. "More information may be released as it becomes available."
