An investigation has yielded a "significant seizure" of drugs from two homes, Prince George RCMP said Thursday.
The detachment's street crew unit executed search warrants on homes in the 2400 block of 15th Avenue home and the 4000-block of Richet Street and came away with over 500 grams of suspected cocaine, 100 grams of suspected fentanyl, body armour, multiple firearms and about $20,000 in cash.
One man was arrested and later released pending charge approval, a process that typically takes a year to 18 months. The warrants were executed in late May in connection with an investigation that began in late March.
"Prince George RCMP is committed to targeting those responsible for supplying fentanyl and other illicit drugs to the community. The seizure of these illicit drugs and firearms from the streets will undoubtedly save lives," acting street crew unit commander Cpl. Scott Cundy said.
