Police have released additional information about a shooting which took place on Quince Street early Sunday morning.
Shortly before 5 a.m. several shots from a shotgun were fired at a home in the 2600 block of Quince Street. Prince George RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Craig Douglass said no one, including the children in the home, was injured in the shooting.
"Up to five shots were heard," Douglass said. "There were two male suspects. One had a thin build, was wearing a white, zip-up hoodie and jeans. He was carrying the shotgun."
The other suspect had a heavier build and was possibly wearing a t-shirt, he said.
"A newer-model gray pickup truck was seen leaving at a high rate of speed," Douglass said.
A very similar shooting took place just before 5 a.m. on Saturday on St. John Crescent. In that shooting a shotgun was also used and a gray Ford F-150 truck was spotted leaving the scene.
In the Saturday shooting, a person "known to police" lived in the home which was hit, Douglass said.
"In the second shooting, that is something we're looking at. No determination has been made at this time," he said.
Anyone with information about either of these shootings is asked to call Prince George RCMP at 250-561-3300 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS(8477). Tips can also be made online at www.pgcrimestoppers.bc.ca.
