Police nabbed a suspect just a few blocks away from a break and enter at a 1500-block 20th Avenue business early morning Monday.
Edward Joseph Brookfield, 36, has been charged with one count of breaking and entering to commit an indictable offence. Brookfield is known to the police and courts.
Police were called to the scene at 1:30 a.m.
"Our quick police response enabled investigators to identify and arrest a suspect within a short time after the initial report of the break-and-enter. This is a great example of the hard work our officers to do keep our community safe," Prince George RCMP Cpl. Jennifer Cooper said.
