A man exhibiting erratic behaviour prompted police to converge on a 200-block Voyageur home this morning, Prince George RCMP said in an update.
Called shortly before 7 a.m., they arrived to find the man on the home's roof with a rifle.
A crisis negotiator, the emergency response team, police dog services and Prince George Fire Rescue Services were subsequently called in and, after a short time, the man came down off the roof and was taken to hospital for assessment under the Mental Health Act.
"This file came to a swift conclusion due to the coordinated efforts of many different units, who used their critical incident training to de-escalate a dynamic situation," Cpl. Jennifer Cooper said.
The public had been asked to avoid the area while police were on the scene.
