McBride RCMP seized about 1,000 marijauna plants June 20 from a rural residence on Mountainview Road.

Police located a well established grow operation run by a complex and "ultimately dangerous" electrical system, said Cst. Nathan Fox, who added, BC Hydro attended to ensure safety for the dismantling of the operation.

A 47-year-old man from the Lower Mainland was arrested at the scene and is expected to be charged with production of a controlled substance and theft under $5,000.

The investigation continues with a possibility of other people being involved.

McBride police also dismantled two other grow operations in the Dome Creek area at the end of March.

Three female youth kept Williams Lake RCMP busy on June 22. The three girls were first involved in a physical assault of two other female youth after school hours on the grounds of Cataline elementary school. The suspects were able to flee before police arrived.

That same evening police were called to a theft in progress at Kiwanis Park where a person had been assaulted and the keys to their car stolen. Three female suspects turned out to be the same youth who had been involved on the school grounds. Police were able to apprehend one of the suspects at the park while the other two fled in the stolen car. Police forced the car to a stop on Highway 20 and apprehended the two girls. All three were held in custody to face court charges of assault, robbery and possession of stolen property.

Quesnel RCMP busted a crack shack July 22 on Doherty Drive which has been the subject of a number of complaints.

Inside the residence police arrested two Quesnel men for possession of cocaine and purpose of trafficking and a substantial amount of cocaine, prescription drugs and cash were seized.

Both men are known to police, and one of them was wanted on three outstanding warrants related to aggravated assault.
