A date has been set for the Joint Panel Review's (JRP) appearance in Prince George to hear from the public about Enbridge's Northern Gateway Pipeline Proposal.

The JRP will be in at the Ramada Hotel on Wed., Jan. 18, 6 p.m. start, where it will hear oral evidence from all registered intervenors first.

In all, the JRP plans to hold hearings in 17 communities during the first leg of its public consultation process between Jan. 10 and early April.

From late March to July 2012, the panel will hear oral statements from registered participants who live in or near the proposed project area.

From September to October 2012, final hearings will be held where the applicant, intervenors, government participants and the panel will question those who have presented oral or written evidence.

From November 2012 to March 2013, oral statements from registered participants who do not live in or near the proposed project area will be held.

And in April 2013 final argument from the applicant, intervenors and government participants will be heard.

The schedule puts the JRP on a schedule to release an environmental assessment report in fall 2013 and to make a final decision on the project around the end of 2013.
