The Canadian Diabetes Association Northern B.C. Region is holding a community picnic this Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Rainbow Park.
For $10 per person, a choice of hamburger or wrap will be available with veggies, fruits, desserts and beverages. Children three years old and under eat free.
"The Picnic in the Park will be a great opportunity for the community to come together and spend quality family time on Father's Day," said Boyanne Young, branch coordinator for the Association Northern B.C. Region.
Other highlights include a clown and games for the kids, entertainment and a silent auction.
Proceeds from the community picnic will benefit local diabetes education and research.
