It’s now been 10 days since William Leonard Price was last seen and all search efforts have come up negative.
As a result, the B.C. RCMP’s Major Crime Unit has taken over his missing-person case, which began after the Fort St. James man didn’t show up at work on Aug. 31 and his vehicle was found Sept. 3 off Pitka Forest Service Road, an isolated area outside the district.
Criminality is now believed to be involved after forensic officers conducted a search of Price’s 2022 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck and Police Dog Services were unable to find him.
Police are asking for dashcam or trail-camera footage nearby to try and see where Price’s truck went on Aug. 29.
“We are asking anyone who may have seen William Price, or had knowledge of his activities prior to August 29, 2020 to contact the Fort St. James RCMP,” says Major Crime Unit Staff Sergeant Todd Wiebe in a news release.
“Even a small bit of information may assist police investigators to locate William and determine what occurred.”
Price, age 55, is described as:
- White
- 5’5”
- 280 pounds
- Hazel eyes
- Grey scruffy hair
- Full grey beard
- 3-4 scar on lower back
- Gold ring and stud earring in left ear
Anyone with more information on Price’s whereabouts is asked to call Fort St. James RCMP at 250-996-8269 or anonymously contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
