The BC SPCA is hosting its second annual province-wide adoption event next weekend (Nov. 9) and we're giving you a look at current animals available at the North Cariboo District Branch.
Dogs, cats, kittens, puppies, rats and guinea pigs will be eligible for 50 per cent off the adoption fees as well as the BC Pet Registry Fee. Any adoption fees for farm animals will be decided on a case-by-case basis the SPCA says, who are teaming up with Hill's Pet Nutrition for the Fall Head Over Tails in Love event.
“This adoption event was such a success last year that each of our 36 adoption facilities are eager to find loving homes for animals in our care,” Mark Takhar, BC SPCA’s chief operations officer said in a release. “Welcoming a rescued animal into your home is a rewarding experience for everyone involved. As always, our top priority is to ensure that every animal finds their perfect people, so our usual matching process will be in effect for this event.”
During the first annual event last year, a total of 212 animals were adopted representing 40 per cent of the animals that were in the care of the SPCA at the time.
