Quesnel RCMP have recovered several $100 counterfeit bills from various businesses which all have the same serial number of EJE9791896. Further investigation has shown this same serial number has been recovered throughout the province on numerous counterfeit files.
Police advise everyone to exercise caution when accepting large bills by paying attention to watermarks, holograms and paper quality. Any suspected counterfeit bills should be turned over to RCMP for examination. Anyone with information regarding this matter is asked to contact Quesnel RCMP at 250-992-9211.
