A woman has taken a stiff hit to her pocketbook for 11 counts of making false claims for Employment Insurance.
Lisa Huguette Marie Girard, 48, was fined $27,500 and assessed a further $8,250 in victim surcharges in addition to being sentenced to six months probation when sentenced Friday in Prince George provincial court.
The sentence was issued for offences committed in September 2010, December 2012 and from April 2015 to July 2015.
