Prince George remains open to support Cariboo residents seeking refuge from the region's wildfires as another evacuation order was issued Tuesday by the Cariboo Regional District.
The UBC Research Forest Wildfire covers about 166 hectares in an area, north of McCauley Lake, about 40 kilometres northeast of Williams Lake.
The evacuation route includes Beaver Valley Road east to Horsefly or west to Likely Road and then to Williams Lake, according to the CRD.
Anyone affected by the McCauley Lake evacuation order can register at the Resiliency Centre in Williams Lake at the Boitanio Mall between 10 a.m. and
4 p.m. For those requiring group lodging, they are required to make their way into Prince George.
The Emergency Reception Centre has been moved from the College of New Caledonia to the Prince George Conference and Civic Centre, effective Wednesday.
Services available for evacuees in Prince George include lodging, medical assistance, and other services and amenities.
The centre is located at 808 Canada Games Way.
