A charge of perjury against a Quesnel truck driver has been stayed.

Michael William Moore, 55, had been facing the charge as a result of testimony he gave when he appeared in Prince George traffic court on April 18 to dispute a ticket he was issued for a Motor Vehicle Act offence.

However, the charge was stayed on July 10 in Prince George provincial court. Moore had been fined $288 for driving with an improperly secured load.
