The Prince George Regional Arts Centre Society has some new faces after its annual general meeting Thursday night.
There was a bit of a shift as Tom Madden, former president of the society, moved away, leaving a gap in the board.
"We're excited about this board," said Les Waldie, a board member entering his second two-year term. "We've got a good board here."
There are two directors, Keith Carlson and Colin Dix, who are in the second year of a two-year term that they are serving, Waldie added.
"There was four of us re-elected for another two-year term," said Waldie. "Kirk Gable, Ken Kilcullen, Elizabeth MacRitchie and myself. We are board directors that agreed to serve another two-year term."
The new directors elected to the board are former city councillors Don Basserman and Debora Munoz, as well as James Cluff, Valerie Giles and Lisa Redpath.
"That gives us a full board," said Waldie. "So it's exciting, we're at another crossroads. The society finished the first phase of its work and presented a report to city council in June and the city wanted to review the core review outcome before they dealt with what we had to say but certainly it's this new board's intention, I'm sure, to make sure that the councillors are well aware of the status of the project."
The board will meet again in about two weeks to elect officers.
"We feel optimistic and are confident that we will keep moving this project forward," Waldie said.
