A long-running sexual assault case has ended with a man being issued a peace bond.
In June 2019, Tyler Jordan Roth was sentenced to two years less a day in jail followed by 18 months probation for an alleged January 2017 attack on a young woman in a Prince George home.
But in September 2020, the B.C. Court of Appeal ordered a new trial, citing a series of troubles with the sentencing judge's reasoning for reaching the verdict.
During a B.C. Supreme Court hearing last week at the Prince George courthouse, the matter was brought to a conclusion when Roth was issued a one-year $500 recognizance with an order to stay away from the woman.
