Go fly a kite, go frolic in the a field, go find a reason to wander the city's public green spaces. Pick any park - nearly all are officially open two weeks early.
That's the second year in a row warm weather and easy winters have let city staff unlock park gates a little early.
That means, as of Monday, sport fields, parks, and public washrooms are open about two weeks ahead of schedule. Masich Place Stadium already opened on March 19, three weeks ahead of schedule.
Connaught Hill Park is the one exception. It's still closed for ongoing road rehabilitation and bank stabilization operations. The road and park toilet facilities should be open to the public by the end of April, said the City of Prince George.
The public washrooms at Lheidli T'enneh Memorial Park and Duchess Park have also been open since the first week of April.
There are nearly 100 sport fields and diamonds in Prince George.
