Crews are making progress on a forest fire near Quesnel.
As of noon Wednesday, the 168-hectare blaze five kilometres south of Pantage Lake was 55-per-cent contained and had not grown significantly in the previous 24 hours, the B.C. Wildfire Service said.
"This fire is currently classified as 'being held,' which means that that the fire is not likely to spread beyond predetermined boundaries under the prevailing and forecasted weather conditions," BCWS said.
The lightning-caused fire is about 40 kilometres northwest of Quesnel.
