Two men were stabbed Friday night in the Hart Highway area and are recovering in hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
The first victim, a 36-year-old man, was stabbed in the abdomen while attempting to break up a fight in the 2700 block of Minotti Drive. Police were called to the scene by a homeowner at about 10:30 p.m., and the man was taken to hospital and admitted overnight.
"It looks like this guy went in to break up a fight and he ended up getting stabbed," said Prince George RCMP Cst. Sonja Blom.
Just after 11 p.m., a 16-year-old male also suffering from an abdominal stab wound was seen walking on the Hart Highway near Kenworth Road East, only a few blocks from where the fight took place.
"Two guys outside having a cigarette heard him walking down the road in distress and they stopped to help him and called police," said Blom.
"We weren't able to take a statement from him."
Blom is urging members of the public to call police and not risk their own lives trying to break up a fight, especially when weapons are involved.

"We're definitely looking into the possibility the two incidents are related," said Blom. They were both up in the Hart, and not a lot of stuff like that happens in the Hart, and the two were in the same proximity," said Blom
"It's still in the early stages of our investigation and we have members following up on it."
