Finding it hard to stay on the straight and narrow?
City streets have received some much-needed lane markings over the past few weeks, but in some areas, the painted lines seem to be wandering astray.
"The city has been working with the contractor since Sunday and has been seeing improvements," said city spokesperson Mike Kellett.
Line painting is done by an outside contractor, and this year the tender process selected a different one than has completed the work in previous years, Kellett said. The contractor is also a separate one from those responsible for the handwork on crosswalks and stop lines.
A report on the city's road painting operations is expected to come before council this summer.
