Online links will be buzzing Tuesday between Prince George companies looking for workers and potential employees looking for work in Prince George.

An online job fair runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., cyber-hosted by Initiatives Prince George (IPG). The focus is on job seekers in the Metro Vancouver area interested in moving north.

"While the job fair is meant to target job seekers living outside of Prince George, residents of the city are encouraged to participate in the virtual fair," said IPG spokeswoman Christina Doll.

According to Doll, businesses from a wide range of sectors will be participating in the job fair, and will be hiring for a variety of positions including, but not limited to: personal care workers,

quality assurance / quality control positions, mechanical designers, steel fabricators, logging truck drivers, wastewater technicians, auto mechanics and technicians, engineers, environmental health and safety, chartered accountants, bookkeepers, wastewater technicians, building inspectors, engineering assistants, HVAC technicians, finance professionals and controllers, customer service representatives, geotechnical drillers and drilling assistants.
