One injured in burning car crash

One person was injured after a car rolled down an eight metre embankment and burst into flames east of Prince George Friday afternoon. The crash occured about 2:50 p.m. on Highway 16, approximately 50 kilometres east of the city.

One person was injured after a car rolled down an eight metre embankment and burst into flames east of Prince George Friday afternoon.

The crash occured about 2:50 p.m. on Highway 16, approximately 50 kilometres east of the city.

The driver, who was the only person in the car at the time of the crash, was able to escape the burning vehicle and was taken to hospital with unknown injuries.

Highway 16 was closed for 45 minutes while members of the Fort George Highway Rescue Department worked to extinguish the burning vehicle.
