If you’re feeling restless and need to burn off some steam, why not do a quick 5K for a great cause.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern B.C. is hosting a virtual fundraiser called ‘5K Your Way’ to raise money for local kids. All the money raised will be used to support BBBS mentoring programs.
The event takes place on May 30, and you can run, walk, bike, blade, crawl or complete the 5K anywhere and anyway you want – but you have to do so within 24 hours.
Good news, depending on how you choose to participate the 5k can take anywhere from 30 minutes to two hours to complete – so you’ll have plenty of time. Following the event you will even be mailed a medal!
It costs $20 to register for the event, but you can do it easily online.
