Are you worried you won’t have enough places to wear your ugly Christmas sweater this year before the holidays are over?
Fear not! There's a charity run next week (Dec. 16) that will allow you to take your ugly Christmas sweater out on the town and help out a great cause, all while burning off some of those extra holiday treats.
So, grab your ugly Christmas sweater and lace up your running shoes and get ready for the Ugly Christmas Sweater 5k.
The event is also a Boogie with the Stars Fundraiser for the Prince George Hospice Society hosted by Diana Duchscherer who is dancing in this year’s competition.
It costs $20 dollars to register for the run but kids 15 years and under are free, so be prepared to bring the whole family. The event is also run/walk so people of all fitness levels can join in on the fun.
The 5k will take place on Sunday, Dec. 16 on the trail from the Northern Sports Centre to the University Heights subdivision and back.
Registration is available online, and those who can’t attend but still want to support the cause can donate here.
