Huble Homestead’s Homestead Days are right around the corner!
Homestead Days are two days full of old-fashioned activities celebrating Prince George’s pioneers.
There will be heritage demonstrations like ice cream and butter making, games and races for different age groups, craft making in the barn, and even eating contests.
The homestead will have summer staff on hand to talk to visitors about heritage projects, and to help you learn more about the site with a guided tour.
Bring a lunch, or bid on the homemade lunches in the Box Lunch Social — don’t worry, there will also be a barbecue if you get outbid.
A selection of vegetables from the Huble garden will be for sale, and the General Store will be full of locally made goodies.
Homestead Days takes place Sunday, Aug. 4 and Monday, Aug, 5 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Don’t forget that Huble Homestead is also dog-friendly so you can bring your furry friends.
Need help getting there? Huble Homestead Historic Site is a 30-minute drive north of Prince George.
Leave the city behind, and make your way up Highway 97, before turning off on Mitchell Road to continue another 6 km down a well-maintained dirt road.
