Anyone wishing to attend post-secondary school, be it college or university, is in for a real treat.

Representatives from 13 B.C. universities and colleges are part of a free public post-secondary information night on Oct. 3 at the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC).

The evening is designed to allow both parents and students to meet informally with university and college representatives, ask questions and gather the most current information from as many institutions as they want.

The event will hopefully make the decision on what college or university to attend a little bit easier.

While post-secondary reps have visited high schools in the region for many years, the school-hour schedule makes it difficult for parents to participate in the conversation. This is the sixth year that Post-Secondary BC (PSBC) has hosted an information night for students and parents.

Here are the institutions you’ll be able to check out:

BCIT

Canadian Forces/Royal Military College

Capilano University

College of New Caledonia (CNC)

Nicola Valley Institute of Technology (NVIT)

Okanagan College

Simon Fraser University (SFU)

Thompson Rivers University (TRU)

Trinity Western University (TWU)

University of British Columbia (UBC)

University of Northern BC (UNBC)

University of Victoria (UVIC)

Vancouver Island University (VIU)

The information night takes place Thursday, Oct. 3 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Canfor Wintergarden at UNBC’s Prince George campus.
