"Easing restrictions can be done only after thoughtful consideration," Henry said. "Our focus and priority are the health and safety of all British Columbians. With your help and all of us doing our part, we will get through this storm together."
Henry and Dix also praised the federal government's recent decision to keep tight restrictions on cruise ships in Canadian waters until October.
"We commend the federal government's decision to maintain the restrictions on cruise ships in Canadian waters until October. This is the right thing to do for our country and our province right now to prevent the introduction of COVID-19 into our coastal communities."
We are grateful that there are no deaths to report today.

We take this moment to acknowledge the 164 people whom we have lost to COVID-19 in the province. We think of their families and acknowledge the struggles they continue to go through as they grieve their loss.
