The Northern Health Authority is moving its current COVID-19 collection centre in an effort to allow more testing.

As of tomorrow (Oct. 14), the new testing location will be #175-1600 15 Ave., near the Cineplex movie theatre in the Parkwood Mall.

Testing had originally been available at the Prince George Urgent and Primary Care Centre.

The authority says the new location will allow for appointment-based testing seven days a week for eight hours each day, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Those referred for testing will be booked for appointments at the new location.

Northern Health adds those with appointments for a COVID-19 test are asked to wait outside the testing centre (in a vehicle, for example) to be called inside when it is the patient's turn.
