The Northern Health Connections buses are taking a break.
The last regularly scheduled routes will begin today (Dec. 17) before service picks up again the week of Jan. 1, 2019.
Northern Health Connections provides transportation for people travelling to non-emergent health services outside their home communities. A variety of routes connect communities across northern B.C., along with service to Vancouver.
Demand for the service typically drops over Christmas as fewer people book health-care appointments.
The booking centre will be closed on statutory holidays (Dec. 25 and 26, and Jan. 1, 2019), but will open on regular business days.
