Customers are still being asked to be mindful of their consumption as the pipeline is still not at 100 per cent

There's some good news for FortisBC customers: you can resume normal gas use.

Following the Enbridge pipeline rupture near Prince George, FortisBC asked consumers to turn down the thermostat as supplies were limited to 50 to 80 per cent of normal levels during some of the coldest months of the year.

In a press release, the company says they are more optimistic about their natural gas supply. That's due to a mild winter, healthy storage levels and conservation efforts by customers.

FortisBC is still reminding customers to be mindful of their usage until the pipeline is operating at 100 per cent.

There were no injuries when the pipeline exploded and the RCMP says it does not suspect criminal activity. The cause of the blast has yet to be determined.
