Prince George Childcare Community is calling for nominations for champions of childcare.
Nominations for favourite childcare workers can include family childcare operators, group childcare centres, out-of-school care providers, supported child development staff, early childhood educators, operators of non-licenced daycare, students and child centre board directors and staff.
There are 12 awards to be presented at the Recognition and Gala Dinner April 30 to winners who make a difference in the lives of children.
The awards are: Outstanding Family Childcare Provider; Outstanding Group Childcare, Outstanding Preschool Provider, Out-of-School Care Provider, New Faces, Dedication to Childcare, Outstanding Support Staff, Student Initiative, Varma Crofts Award, Inclusion Award, Lighting The Way and the Ann-Marie Prediger Activist Award.
Deadline to submit nominations is March 18.
Awards night is designed to recognize, respect and honour the work of child care workers who play vital roles in raising the community's children.
Tickets for the gala at the Civic Centre are on sale to April 21 for $27 at CCRR.
