There's some good news from health officials today as today is another day with no new COVID-19 deaths in B.C.

It's the sixth consecutive day the province has seen zero new fatalities after today's daily update from Provincial Health Officer Adrian Dix and Minister of Health Adrian Dix this afternoon (June 11) in Victoria.

There have been 14 new test-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the past day for a provincial total of 2,694.

There are 917 cases in Vancouver Coastal Health, 1,386 in Fraser Health, 130 in Island Health and 195 in the Interior Health region.

Of the current cases, 2,344 people have fully recovered while there are 183 active cases. There are currently 13 people hospitalized with five of those cases in ICU.

No new healthcare facilities, or seniors' homes, have been identified as having outbreaks of the virus that has caused a global pandemic.

That means that there are five facilities that have outbreaks, including the Holy Family Hospital, which was first identified yesterday.

The four other seniors' living facilities that have active outbreaks of the virus include:

  • Vancouver's South Granville Park Lodge
  • Port Coquitlam's Nicola Lodge
  • Langley's Langley Lodge
  • Abbotsford's Valhaven Home
