Prince George RCMP responded to a two vehicle collision involving a school bus this afternoon.
At approximately 2:45 pm, Prince George RCMP received a report of a small car that collided with school bus on Highway 16 near Geddes Road, just east of the City. Initial reports were that no one was injured.
Prince George RCMP attended the scene. The driver of a school bus with four children on board activated the flashing lights and began to slow down. The driver of a Dodge Neon traveling in the same direction, was unable to stop and slid into the back of the school bus at a relatively low speed.
It appears that the school bus driver anticipated the collision and warned the children before impact. No injuries were reported by any persons involved.
Traffic on that stretch of highway was impacted for about an hour.
The investigation is continuing.
