Construction began on nine new single-family homes in the Prince George area last month, according to an update from Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation.
That's down from 14 over the same month last year, but the year-to-date total of 109 remained ahead of last year's figure of 92.
There were also two multi-family residential starts in September, CMHC said, raising that year-to-date total to 45 units, compared to 39 by the same point last year.
