If you're out of a job, the first thing you'll want to do is head to a new one-stop shop for getting the unemployed back into the workforce.
A few bugs were being worked out Monday, but the computers were up and running and the staff was in place at the WorkBC Employment Services Centre, located upstairs at 1511 Third Ave., just off Victoria Street downtown.
"We'll supply all the services to unemployed people through a one-door concept, so they're not moving all over the city and going from pillar to post," explained Tom Newell of Kopar Administration Ltd., which landed a five-year contract from the provincial government to deliver the program in this city.
