Musicians get chance to learn from Juno winner

Juno winner David Myles hosts a free workshop at the College of New Caledonia today from noon to 2 p.m. Scott Dunbar, a local musician, will join Myles to perform in the student lounge in the tech building.

Juno winner David Myles hosts a free workshop at the College of New Caledonia today from noon to 2 p.m.

Scott Dunbar, a local musician, will join Myles to perform in the student lounge in the tech building. This event is hosted by the international students in the college student ambassadorship and leadership program.

Myles, from Halifax, will perform his folk jazz music and will talk about how he has explored many genres that has influenced his unique style.

Myles won the Juno Award for his rap recording of the year, Inner Ninja, and was named 2012's songwriter of the year, and took Song of the Year at the East Coast Music association awards.

Coldsnap Music Festival presents several free workshops to the community, as well as shows featuring talented musicians from around the world.
