On Friday night, Matt Soper was crowned Mr. P.G. for 2012.
Originally from the Lower Mainland, he moved here in May, to work as an announcer for Wolf FM and he is loving his time in Prince George so far.
"I didn't know what to expect but I really love it here," said Soper.
He was a standout in the talent contest where he admits he wanted to be as ridiculous as possible.
"I tried to pick songs that would get everyone going and do the goofiest things and I guess it paid off," said Soper.
Soper said he plans on taking his new title very seriously over the next year.
"I'm not sure what I'll be doing but I'm up for everything. I'm ready to kiss babies, shake hands or even step in to be the mayor if that's is ever needed."
