Four drivers made the wrong choice and had their privileges revoked after having too much to drink before getting behind the wheel, according to Prince George RCMP numbers from the weekend.

One was issued a 90-day immediate roadside prohibition with a 30-day vehicle impoundment, while two were slapped with a three-day IRP and one a 24-hour suspension.

Another five were issued 24-hour suspensions for impairment by drugs.

Many more made the right one by calling Operation Red Nose, which delivered 200 rides over Friday and Saturday nights.

On Friday, 69 volunteers, including 16 road teams, provided 69 rides, driving 1,985 km.

In comparison, in 2015 they provided 97 rides on the same night, 111 in 2014 - a record for night five - and 84 in 2013.

So far after six nights, they have delivered 416 rides and travelled 11,925 km.

ORN will be back on the road this Friday and Saturday nights from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. The number to call is 250-962-RIDE (7433).
