More than 100 new COVID-19 cases reported in the Northern Health region

Active cases sees small decrease from Wedneday

The B.C. Centre for Disease Control reported 122 new cases of COVID-19 in the Northern Health region on Thursday.
However, the number of active cases in the region decreased by nine from Wednesday, down to 422. As of Thursday, 17 people were hospitalized in the Northern Health region with COVID, of which five were in intensive care.
No new COVID-related deaths were reported in the Northern Health region on Thursday. The region’s death toll from the pandemic remained at 275.
Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 18,899 cases of COVID-19 in the region, of which 18,189 have recovered.
A total of 422,079 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in the Northern Health region.

There have been 13 cases of the Omicron variant reported in the Northern Health region as of Thursday.
