A Prince George man who had been hiding from police for more than two weeks faces more charges now that he is in custody.
Christopher Ross Blaney, 31, was arrested Sunday night after RCMP acted on a tip. He was at the centre of a manhunt on Nov. 29 when efforts to apprehend him at two separate homes was unsuccessful.
From that incident, Blaney now faces charges of unauthorized possession of a firearm and willfully resisting or obstructing a peace officer.
He also continues to face several charges from two separate incidents in early August:
- One count each of theft $5,000 or under, possession or use of a stolen credit card, breach of probation and two counts of breach of a conditional sentence order from Aug.1.
- Two counts each of intimidation of the justice system, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm and willfully resisting a peace officer from Aug. 3.
Blaney remains in custody.
