Prince George’s Standing Committee on Intergovernmental Affairs lived up to its name at its Tuesday, Aug. 5 meeting with representatives of all three levels of government present.
Joining committee members and councillors Garth Frizzell, Kyle Sampson and Susan Scott were Prince George-Mackenzie Conservative MLA Kiel Giddens, Prince George-Valemount Conservative MLA Rosalyn Bird and Prince George-Peace River-Northern Rockies Conservative MP Bob Zimmer.
They, Mayor Simon Yu and Coun. Trudy Klassen were due to have a lunch-and-learn session at city hall following the conclusion of the committee meeting.
There were also some other special guests. Just after the committee meeting ended, a group of kids from Big Brothers Big Sisters getting a tour of city hall was led in by Yu to meet the gathered elected officials.
