If you were expecting mail or parcels and haven't received yours yet from Canada Post, now we know why.

According to Canada Post, a truck they contracted slid off Highway 97 on Nov. 13 near Hixon (just under one hour south of Prince George) and ended up in the ditch.

The truck then caught fire, which destroyed all of the Canada Post contents inside along as well as the truck.

Phil Legault with Media Relations for Canada Post told PrinceGeorgeMatters that customers who believe they didn't receive a specific parcel or piece of mail are asked to contact the sender.

Customers can also contact Canada Post's Customer Service at 1-800-267-1177 for more information.
