A search of Francois Lake continued Monday for a missing 35-year-old man.
Another man was found Friday clinging to a capsized boat and taken to University Hospital of Northern B.C. where he was treated for severe hypothermia but the man remained missing as off early afternoon Monday.
Search and rescue personnel from Burns Lake, Nechako Lake and Houston, as well as Burns Lake RCMP were on the scene over the weekend.
The search has involved a Provincial Emergency Program helicopter and more than 50 volunteers walking the shoreline and patrolling on all terrain vehicles.
"Search efforts will continue in order to locate the missing male who was last seen on Friday and is now sadly presumed drowned." said Const. Lesley Smith. "RCMP Victim services are assisting the family and close knit community during this tragic time."
Francois Lake is located 30 kilometres south of Burns Lake BC and 10 kilometres west of Fraser Lake at its east end.
